This is a ministry reaching out to children with the Gospel right here in York County, Pennsylvania.

During the school year they have:

  • Fair Ministry: in September during the York Fair a booth is set up for them to present the Gospel to children using the Wordless Book and face paintings.
  • Good News Clubs: in many locations around the county meeting weekly. These volunteer teachers and helpers are on duty from October through April.
  • After-School-In-School Clubs: Good News Clubs now meeting in 13 Schools.

During the summer months they have:

  • 5-Day clubs: in individuals yards. Teams of two young people take the summer to go around York county to teach these 40 clubs.
  • Day Camps: at two locations. One camp is in July and the other one in August with about 80 children attending each camp.

Teacher Training Classes

Once a month from September through March teachers and helpers of Good News Clubs are instructed on teaching methods and helps. This is also open for Sunday School teachers or anyone else teaching children in various ministries.

Summer Missionary Training School

This is a two-week training session in June for Eastern Pennsylvania summer missionaries. They become familiar with the stories, verses, and songs that they will be using during the summer. They are also instructed concerning discipline problems that may arise, and on how to lead a child to Christ.

Tel-Me-A-Story Ministry

A telephone ministry where children can call 757-4888 to hear a story and have the opportunity to call in for a correspondence course. They can also visit the web site at www.cefofyork.org.

Correspondence Courses

These are Bible lessons from The Mailbox Club for all ages, children through adults. Every child that comes to 5-Day clubs and to the Fair Ministry has the opportunity to enroll.
